The new 2010 Panasonic’s have an auto-dimming feature built in (that’s what Panasonic called it when I spoke with them)that is related to their “Real Black Drive system. In short, the TV background will lighten and darken with varying contrast ratios. In-Out In-Out, etc. This is very annoying when trying to enjoy a home theater experience. This TV also exhibits the rise the 2009 models have.(I am currently debating on trading this model for an S1, if Panasonic will let me.
The TV does have some positive features such as better contrast ratio, brightness, less dithering, but I feel it’s all outweighted by the floating black levels.
I wish those well If they decide to purchase this headache.

Everything it was promised to be! I highly recommend it. For the money you will be hard pressed to find better. The only cons that that I can come up w for this TV is that it does make a faint humming noise when it is turned on. But, unless u are sitting 1 foot away from the TV while watching, the sound is inaudible. Great plasma!

I just got my TV delivered today, I hooked up my PS3, Xbox360, HD DVR cable box and it looks fantastic so far. You can beat the price/performance ratio on Plasma.

You are not going to find a better TV for the price. It is by far the best TV out there.
I have been watching a lot of TV on it and it is absolutely perfect. Things seem so life like on the tv it is unbelievable. I cant wait to watch things on blue ray and see the actual quality that it will produce. I do wish it had a theater mode (thx) but it does not come on the S line. Watching sports is awesome because there is no pixilation that is caused because of the natural 600 refresh rate on the tv. If you are looking for a great tv from a great manufacturer then this set if the perfect fit.
